Please stop any Registry protection utilities before attempting to install as they can prevent the application from installing correctly.

You must log on to your PC using an Administrator account to install UBET.

The setup will also install UBET Database Manager. UBET uses a Firebird database which does not require compression. However, like all databases it will gradually become slower as more records are added. So if you no longer want to access to some of your past race history then you can selectively delete data.

The setup will also install UBETHAWKE. UBET acts as an External Observer to UBET and helps in scheduling startups and shutdowns based on your preferences.

For new users
Run UBETsetup.exe and follow instructions.

For users who already have an old installation of UBET
Use the Control Panel, Add / Remove applet or Program Features applet [Vista] to uninstall the older version of
UBET s/w.
In your Program Files Folder, remove the [TwoNix] folder ( usually C:\Program Files\TwoNix ) if it exists.
In your Program Files Folder, remove the [Firebird] folder ( usually C:\Program Files\Firebird ) if it exists.
Restart the computer.
Run UBETsetup.exe and follow instructions
